Sports centre

The sports centre has an excellent sports field dug into the sandy slope, different maintenance facilities and side fields. And what’s more, it offers to the visitors magnificent views from the ridge.

In summer, among the sports center services there are a frisbee course, fitness stairs and workout equipment, a well-maintained grass field for football, a sand field large enough for example for baseball, athletics venues, asphalt tennis courts (can be used also for skateboarding, etc.), an illuminated jogging track, an illuminated ski track surface, and several kilometers of track surfaces suitable for jogging in the forest.

In winter, the sports center offers an illuminated ski track, a forest track, a natural ice rink, a skating rink and a sledding hill.

Kuorevesi school

There is a variety of sports events for different groups in the school’s sports hall and gym organized by the village clubs and associations. You can also obtain a PIN code from the city to access the gym. In summer, supervised sports events are organized in the school yard.

Swimming pool and lake Eväjärvi

Swimming is possible at the Halli indoors swimming pool all year round!

In summer, the swimming pool area extends to a beautiful lawn and an inviting sandy beach equipped with a swimming pier and changing rooms. There is also a beach volleyball court in the area. Toilets in the changing rooms are open 24/7.

Keen to try ice swimming? In winter, a hole is cut in the frozen lake and a pump keeps it from freezing even in the strong frost. Those who are keen on open water swimming can obtain a key to the swimming pool’s warm changing room from the city council. Besides, there is a wind shelter and a coat rack on the swimming pier.

When ice conditions permit, a ski track and/or a touring ice-skating track are set on the lake and maintained by volunteers.

The lake is rich in fish. Fishing permits are obtainable at an affordable price. The local fishing club Lentokala ry organizes fishing competitions all year round. Landing areas for boats and carpet washing places are located on the Kantola shore and at the end of Rantatie street. The latter has also a mooring pier.

At the end of the Rantatie street there is also a lean-to shelter, a barbecue area, a firewood storage area, an outdoor toilet, as well as a good unsupervised swimming place with changing cabins. The snowmobile route to Jämsä and Pirkanmaa also goes through this lean-to area.
